Privacy

Short version: no cookies and no ad tracking. I count visits without following anyone, and I only hold what you send me or what a purchase needs.

  • No cookies, no ad trackers, and nothing stored in your browser by this site. The only analytics are cookie-free visit counts.
  • I only receive what you type into the enquiry form, what you give a checkout, or what you email me.
  • I don't sell or rent your information.
  • Payments are crypto-only, and crypto transactions are public and permanent. More on that below.

Who runs this

weaponartist.studio is run by Manny Olivos, a drone cinematographer and photographer based in Miami, Florida. Any question about this page, or about your information: manny@weaponartist.studio.

What I collect, and why

Booking and licensing enquiries

When you send the form on Book, I get your name, your email, the service you picked, the location and date, your description of the shoot, and your tick on the payment terms. I use it to reply, quote, and plan the job.

The form is delivered by Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which passes it on to my email. If the form can't send, the page offers an email link instead, and then it's just an email between you and me.

Buying a download, a license or a print

Checkout runs on Coinbase Commerce, on a page that belongs to Coinbase (commerce.coinbase.com) and follows Coinbase's terms and privacy policy. Coinbase collects what it needs to take the payment, plus your shipping address for prints, and emails you a receipt.

I receive the order details: what you bought, the email you gave, your shipping address for prints, and the payment record. I use them to deliver the files or ship the print, and to keep my sales records.

Paying a wallet directly

If you send crypto straight to an address on Pay, I see the amount, the sending address and the transaction on the public blockchain, plus whatever you email me, such as the transaction hash. Blockchains are public and permanent. I can't remove a transaction from one, and nobody else can either.

Emails and messages

If you email me, or message me on Instagram or YouTube, I get what you send. Those platforms handle their side under their own policies.

Visit counts

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, which site sent you, your country, your browser and device type, and how fast pages load. It doesn't use cookies or browser storage, it doesn't fingerprint you, and it doesn't build a profile of any individual visitor. It leaves query strings out of the page addresses it records.

Cloudflare keeps the detailed records for about a week and then only keeps summaries. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers what it does with the data.

Basic server logs

The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any host, it sees your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the pages and block abuse. I don't use that to track or profile visitors.

What this site doesn't do

  • It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage.
  • It has no advertising pixels or fingerprinting. The only analytics are the cookie-free visit counts above.
  • It has no accounts, sign-ups or newsletter.
  • Its fonts and map data are hosted on the site itself, so loading them doesn't send your visit to anyone else.

Third-party content and links

Films appear as a still image. Nothing from YouTube or Vimeo loads until you press play. Then your browser connects to them (YouTube through its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com address, Vimeo with its do-not-track setting on), and they may set cookies or collect data under their own policies.

Links to Instagram, YouTube and Coinbase take you off this site. Their policies apply once you're there.

Who else handles your information

  • Cloudflare: hosts and delivers the site, and provides the cookie-free visit counts.
  • Web3Forms: delivers enquiry-form messages to my email.
  • Coinbase Commerce: takes checkout payments.
  • Titan (my email provider): stores the emails I receive.
  • A shipping carrier: I print and pack orders myself, so the carrier only gets the name and address needed to deliver your package.

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it for advertising.

How long I keep it

Enquiries and order records stay for as long as I need them for the job, for support, and for tax and bookkeeping. After that they're deleted. If you ask sooner, I'll delete what I'm not required to keep.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can email manny@weaponartist.studio to ask what I hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to stop me contacting you. I'll answer as soon as I can. The one limit is the blockchain, which can't be erased.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, and I don't publish enquiry or order details. No system is perfectly secure, so keep anything sensitive out of the enquiry form.

I will never ask for your seed phrase, private key or password. Payments only go to the addresses on the Pay page. If a message asks you to send funds anywhere else, it isn't me.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this changes, I'll update this page and the date below.
